Is the Master's in Rehabilitation Care aimed at a specific target group?
The MAS in Rehabilitation Care is aimed at healthcare professionals and nursing staff who are responsible for patients in outpatient or inpatient rehabilitation institutions.
Is a university degree required for the Master in Rehabilitation Care?
A university degree is expected of those interested in the MAS in Rehabilitation Care, but persons with a CHE degree, continuing education, further training of at least 100 hours, three years of professional experience (instead of two years for university graduates) and an admission module on research and assessment of research results can also be admitted to the continuing education master's program with a "sur dossier" admission.
What are the aims of the MAS in Rehabilitation Care?
Graduates of the MAS in Rehabilitation Care are entrusted with the collection and assessment of patients' clinical signs and incorporate these into therapy coordination and planning. Their services are evidence-based and build on assessments for which they collect data or on studies. You are responsible for providing targeted support to rehabilitation patients and their relatives and, thanks to continuing education, further training, you are equipped for the future challenges of the rehabilitation sector.
How long does the MAS in Rehabilitation Care take?
Participants in the MAS in Rehabilitation Care should expect to study for at least 24 months. As the MAS has a total of 60 ECTS credits and therefore around 1800 learning hours, it is also advisable to extend the continuing education, further training over a longer period of time, depending on your time availability.
Is only a MAS in Rehabilitation Care offered, or is it also possible to attend a CAS?
In addition to the Master of Advanced Studies in Rehabilitation Care with 60 ECTS, it is also possible to obtain a Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) with 30 ECTS and a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS) with 15 ECTS. In this case, a CAS consists exclusively of three modules, which can be selected from the following (as at 2017) Clinical Assessment, Basics Neuro / Stroke, Early Rehabilitation Neuro / Stroke, Concepts of Rehabilitation.
