The Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology UAS degree program comprises at least 180 ECTS, which are required for graduation. A Matura is required for a Biotechnology UAS degree course; in the case of foreign diplomas, the Universities will provide you with information on admission options. If you have a Federal VET Diploma related to biotechnology, for example in a medical, technical, pharmaceutical, biological or chemical profession, you can be admitted directly to the course. If you have a Federal Vocational Baccalaureate in a field unrelated to biotechnology, you must have one year of work experience in a biotechnology environment, as must people with a Baccalaureate. High school graduates also have the option of completing an eight-semester course of study with an integrated internship without the practical experience required to study biotechnology.
