CNC course: All clear?

The CNC is an electronic device for controlling a machine tool, which is computerized. You need in-depth knowledge to program a CNC. You will acquire this in a specialist course.

You can find out where such a course takes place on the internet portal Ausbildung-Weiterbildung.ch. Here you will not only find CNC courses, but everything you need to know about training and further education. In just a few steps, you will be informed about the various courses, training sessions and seminars as well as the schools that offer them.

Questions and answers

A CNC course is offered by various schools and can cover both CNC application and CNC programming. Depending on the chosen provider and the course offered, a course can last anywhere from a few hours to fifteen days or more. Please contact the training providers directly to find out about the relevant courses and the respective requirements.

An apprenticeship qualification (Federal VET Diploma, Federal VET Diploma) is not mandatory for participation in a CNC course.

Experience in working with lathes and / or conventional milling machines is a prerequisite for attending a CNC course.

A CNC course can be attended for both CNC turning and CNC milling and usually also trains you in CNC programming and application. Exclusive user courses are rather rare, but can also be found in some cases. Please contact the schools directly to find out about the current course program.

CNC milling
Practical, job-oriented course:

In the 15-day individual course, you will learn CNC technology on the Siemens 820 M/T control system from scratch via the programming system. You will be able to check and optimize your programs with the 3D simulation. During the course, workpieces are machined on an EMCO-PCMILL 100 CNC milling machine. After the course, you will have mastered all the important CNC technology commands and will be able to program and manufacture even complex production parts.
