The theory and transfer modules cover specialist theory, fundamentals of digital culture, ideation labs in each semester as well as the semester and Bachelor's thesis. There are also elective modules in the areas of Mentoring Design Video & Audio, Object & Space, 3D Animation, Illustration & Typography, Information Aesthetics, Emerging Technologies, Physical Prototyping extended, Audio Design, Computer Graphics Extended and others.

After the second semester of the Bachelor's degree in Digital Ideation, students are able to choose one of three subject areas in which they would like to specialize and from which they select their modules individually. These are
