Dorn Breuss therapy: the gentle spinal column technique

Dorn Breuss therapy is a very promising, effective and gentle treatment for treating the spine. Numerous classical and medical masseurs and masseuses regularly use the combination of Breuss massage and the Dorn spinal technique because of its effectiveness. The technique is reminiscent of chiropractic, but is much gentler. The bones are brought back into their original position through gentle massage. In this way, back, joint or knee pain can often be completely eliminated. Thanks to Dorn Breuss therapy, the misalignment of the pelvic bones is also corrected, making the legs the same length again. As Breuss assumed that there were no defective intervertebral discs, he developed a back massage technique using St. John's flower oil, which aerates the intervertebral discs and has already relieved the pain of many patients.

This therapy is therefore a spinal technique that has been tested and used for many years and can certainly also be used successfully in your massage practice. However, there are also numerous other spinal techniques with great prospects of success in the therapeutic field. Click on the corresponding link above from Ausbildung-Weiterbildung.ch and you will directly find many well-known schools from the health and massage sector that offer corresponding courses. Information material on Dorn Breuss therapy or other spinal techniques can be ordered directly online free of charge and without obligation.

Questions and answers

If you want to get to know the Dorn-Breuss therapy better and learn how to apply it, you will learn a lot about both massage methods, their application and special features in a seminar. The aim of such training is to impart these and other skills and content:
  • Indicators and counter-indicators of the Dorn Breuss method
  • Gripping techniques
  • Massage procedure
  • Performing grip techniques and massage
  • Anatomy of the spine
  • Treatment procedure
If you are interested in learning Dorn Breuss therapy, you can do so in different ways with the individual providers. However, the seminars are usually offered at the weekend or on individual days during the week and often only last one or two days. This means that you only need to take a maximum of two days' vacation for the individual courses, such as the basic course. If this is not possible, it is best to enquire directly with the relevant schools about weekend seminars.

Depending on the school and type of course, the admission requirements for training in Dorn Breuss therapy can vary. However, participants are often required to have basic therapeutic-manual knowledge or sometimes even a Federal Diploma of Higher Education as a medical masseur.

It is best to contact the school of your choice for more details on admission requirements.

In principle, you are free to treat patients with Dorn Breuss therapy in your practice or as an employee at any time. However, it is not necessarily recommended to start after the basic seminar. First gain experience in your own circle, with friends and family and treat as many patients as you can free of charge. Only with sufficient experience and feedback from patients will you be successful as a therapist in the long term. You should also attend advanced seminars which will provide you with further training in Dorn / Breuss and give you new insights.
