In the "Export Clerk" training course, you will learn how order processing works in export and will be able to carry out administrative tasks independently.
The course covers the following topics in detail:
- Foreign trade and foreign trade companies in Switzerland
Special features of foreign trade, dealing with service providers, cross-border processing traffic, export network
- Legal aspects of international order processing
Legal basis, liability, contracts, sanctions and embargoes, securities, Incoterms
- Payment and foreign exchange transactions
Export/import calculation, dealing with inflation and exchange rate risk, factoring and forfaiting, documentary collection and letters of credit, bank guarantees
- Tariff and non-tariff barriers to trade
Customs procedures, use of customs tariff numbers, EU customs clearance, origin of goods, dealing with free trade agreements, basic features of VAT in the EU
- Forwarding, transportation and warehousing
Carrier, forwarding contract, transport documents and shipping papers, transport packaging, transport insurance, postage, handling dangerous goods, warehousing
Export clerk: skills and knowledge
After the course, you will understand the importance of foreign trade for your company and Switzerland. You will be familiar with the differences between national and international business and know which laws and regulations apply. Thanks to your understanding of the interrelationships between import, export, customs and transport, you will be able to plan, organize and administratively process export orders independently. You will be able to prepare the necessary documents, obtain permits, maintain regular contact with all service providers involved and coordinate the work steps.
