The federal certificate of proficiency is the first federally recognized level of vocational further education after an apprenticeship with an EFZ. Graduates are entitled to use the protected title "SME management specialist with federal certificate".
The qualification enables admission to further training for the higher professional examination as "Business Economist SME"
