He is highly valued for his great commitment, strong social skills and sense of responsibility. The Federal Professional Examination as a management specialist with a federal certificate will open up new job market opportunities and corresponding further development opportunities for Felix in his future career.

Financial benefits of continuing education, further training as a management expert

As a management specialist, Felix will receive CHF 3,131 more per month than before and will therefore have at least CHF 1.46 more at his disposal by the time he retires than if he had not done any continuing education, further training.

As this theoretical calculation does not take into account any further salary increases, promotions or interest on savings, the salary can still increase significantly.

Calculation in detail

Continuing education, further training FPE management specialist:

  • 18 months part-time
  • School fees, documents: CHF 12,400 minus CHF 5,755 federal contribution = CHF 6,645
  • Exam fee: CHF 900
  • Total training costs: CHF 7'545

Wage difference and yield calculation:

  • Difference in salary between the position of Quality Management Clerk and the position of Management Specialist: CHF 8,784 - CHF 5,653 = CHF 3,131 per month and CHF 37,572 per year (12 x CHF 3,131 = CHF 37,572)
  • He recoups the total training costs of CHF 7,545 in just over 2 months with his higher salary as a management specialist (CHF 7,545 / CHF 3,131 per month = 2.4 months)
  • In the remaining 39 years until his retirement (26 to 65), this additional income will add up to CHF 1,465,308 (39 x CHF 37,572 = CHF 1,465,308)
  • If the training costs are deducted from this additional income, an additional sum of around CHF 1,458,000 remains at his disposal(CHF 1'465'308 - CHF 7'545 = CHF 1'457'763)
