What are the disadvantages of training to become a real estate marketer?

Real estate marketers with a Federal Diploma of Higher Education are able to act as a link between property owners and buyers. They prepare market analyses and real estate market concepts. They buy and sell commercial, residential and investment properties on behalf of clients.

The main disadvantages of real estate marketer training are:

  1. As the real estate marketer course usually takes place over two to three semesters alongside work, it is very time-consuming and requires good time management.
  2. If you want to work in real estate marketing, you need not only specialist knowledge but also analytical skills as well as customer and service orientation. These skills can only be partially acquired through training.
  3. The Federal PET Diploma is not recognized abroad. Anyone wishing to work abroad must therefore request official proof of this professional qualification from the State Secretariat for Education, Research, and Innovation SERI in order to prove their eligibility.
  4. The examination pressure at the annual federal final examinations is high, but is specifically prepared for during the real estate marketer training. This can be difficult if you have exam nerves. However, there are mock exams and learning checks beforehand.

Graduates work as middle managers in real estate companies, real estate funds, pension funds, banks, insurance companies, construction and general contractors, in public administration and in fiduciary, auditing and property management companies.
