The training course in art education is a certificate course which awards you an internal school certificate on completion. Participants must have attended at least 90 percent of the course days and 100 percent of the elective courses, the learning group meetings and the observation days. In addition, a portfolio of work, a literature summary and practical project documentation must be compiled.

The continuing education, further training in art education is very broad and includes art education, new media, musical accompaniment, music and rhythm, vocal improvisation, poetry, composition and play forms, movement and dance, plastic design, dance and choreography, painting, visual design, playful elements, boundaries, materials and techniques, masks, rod puppets, staging, pantomime, shadow plays, theater, performing arts and stories. In addition, there are elective courses of at least 40 hours, three observation days in the field of art education, in-depth days in learning groups, self-study time and a practical project.

The course in art education lasts one year. The course starts once a year.

The continuing education, further training in art education consists of five subject blocks with a total of 20 days of contact learning time. In addition, there is accompanied self-study, independent study time and three days of work shadowing. It is therefore entirely possible for you to continue working full-time, provided you can take time off on the course dates. The contact hours take place on five dates from Wednesdays to Saturdays. The school will inform you of the exact dates.

The target group for the continuing education course in art education are people with a curative or socio-educational qualification or a comparable qualification as well as specialist knowledge in agogics, who also work at least 30 percent in curative education or socio-education at the time of registration.
