The Federal Professional Examination for Logistics Specialists with a Federal Certificate consists of two levels.

• First stage: Module examinations
• Second stage: Federal examination

Proof of the SSC basic module qualifications in the form of the SSC certificate is a prerequisite for admission to the Federal Professional Examination. Persons who have received positive confirmation of their application for recognition of the equivalence of educational achievements are exempt from the corresponding module examinations.

SSC basic module degrees:

• Economics
• Finance and accounting
• Supply Chain Management
• Project management
• Quality management
• Self-management and leadership

Written part of the final examination:

• Materials management, production logistics, procurement logistics, process management
• Warehouse logistics, standards & systems, distribution logistics
• Waste disposal & recycling, occupational safety
• Logistics overall process & occupational safety

Oral part of the final examination:

• Sub-project and team management

The continuing education, logistics specialist with a federal certificate is suitable for people who want to acquire comprehensive logistics knowledge in order to be able to carry out qualified processing or a leading function in the operational area of the logistics industry. The prerequisite for admission to the federal examinations is that the admission criteria are met.

The logistics specialist's tasks are as follows:

• Clerical or project staff tasks
• specialist tasks in internal and cross-company logistics in the areas of procurement, production, storage, distribution and disposal
• Ensuring the establishment of logistics chains
• Implement process-oriented action in the individual logistics departments or sub-processes
• Processing specialist problems in internal logistics
• Support in the development of logistics concepts in the sub-processes of procurement, production, storage, distribution and disposal logistics
• Independent implementation of logistical sub-processes
• Analyze internal logistics processes in industrial, commercial and other companies and identify weak points
• Planning and implementing proposed solutions for logistics processes to optimize the overall logistics process
• Ensure smooth supply to customers
• Proper separation and disposal as well as correct recycling of waste materials

Graduates of the Logistics Specialist Certificate who wish to deepen their strategic and management knowledge in the field of logistics or who are interested in the interlinking theory of supply chain management can take the Advanced Federal Professional Examination (AFPE) in Logistics Management or Supply Chain Management with a Federal Diploma. These specialist examinations are also conducted by the GS1 Association.

Graduates of the Federal Professional Examination in Logistics with a Federal Certificate of Competence have the necessary qualifications to carry out a demanding job in production, procurement, warehousing, disposal or distribution logistics.

You lead a team, design and supervise projects or work as a qualified administrator.

Depending on the size of the company, logistics specialists are responsible for operational tasks in logistical sub-processes or the analysis and optimization of overall logistical processes.

• Federal certificate of proficiency (EFZ / apprenticeship certificate) or Matura / vocational baccalaureate and at least 3 years of specialist experience in logistics (distribution, production, procurement, warehousing, recycling/disposal).

or

• Federal Vocational Certificate (EBA) and at least 4 years of specialist experience in logistics (distribution, production, procurement, warehousing, recycling/disposal).

or

• At least 8 years of specialist experience in logistics (distribution, production, procurement, warehousing, recycling/disposal).

or

• Successful graduates of a federally recognized specialist certificate in the logistics areas of distribution, production, procurement, warehousing, recycling / disposal.

and

• Proof of the required SSC basic module qualifications or proof of confirmation of equivalence.

Um zur Berufsprüfung Logistikfachmann / Logistikfachfrau mit eidg. Fachausweis zugelassen zu werden, ist entweder

• ein EFZ, eine Matura oder ein gleichwertiger Abschluss mit mindestens drei Jahren Berufserfahrung in einem der Bereiche Lager, Beschaffung, Produktion, Entsorgung oder Distribution vorzuweisen
• oder ein EBA oder gleichwertiger Abschluss mit mindestens vier Jahren Berufserfahrung in einem der genannten Logistikbereichen
• oder, ohne einen dieser Abschlüsse, mindestens sechs Jahre Berufspraxis in einem der genannten Bereiche
• oder ein eidgenössischer Fachausweis in einem der genannten Bereiche
• sowie mit jeder Vorbildung die erforderlichen SSC-Basisabschlüsse oder Gleichwertigkeitsbescheinigungen
