My name is Marco Kühne. I originally completed a commercial apprenticeship at the Rüdtligen-Alchenflüh municipal administration near Kirchberg. I later switched to a job in IT and attended various accompanying school courses. I worked for three years as an application developer in the IT department of Bank Valiant in Bern. After this time, I wanted something new. I completed a one-year internship at Radio Emme in Langnau. This enabled me to enter the medium of radio. I was then able to present the morning show on Radio 32 in Solothurn for 8 years. When I had had enough of getting up early, I was offered a further development opportunity in marketing. I completed the MARKOM training course. After this training, I went into marketing and worked in radio event management. My work focused on promoting awareness of the radio station in the regions of Solothurn, Aargau and the canton of Bern. At the same time, I attended further training as a marketing specialist and successfully completed the marketing certificate. This is how I got my job as a marketing specialist at Radio 32 in Solothurn.
After starting my career as a marketing specialist in event management at Radio 32 Solothurn, I switched to the telecommunications industry. At Quickline AG in Nidau, I took over responsibility for sponsorship as a marketing specialist and communication manager. The focus of this activity was the sponsoring strategy and the planning of activation measures with the brand ambassadors. In beach volleyball, the successful beach volleyball duo Hüberli / Betschart is used, in the area of wrestling the likeable and down-to-earth wrestling king Christian Szucki. As a marketing specialist, I was able to realize photo shoots and video shoots with these brand ambassadors. I was also responsible for developing Quickline's long-term sponsorship strategy and we succeeded in entering the booming sport of handball. The Quickline Handball League in men's handball will ensure greater brand awareness in the future. I will soon be moving to the Quickline network partner Localnet in Burgdorf, where I will be expanding and developing the customer club.
I completed my marketing specialist training at the Feusi Training Center in Bern.
I think the Marketing Specialist course offers a broad spectrum of future career opportunities. The marketing specialist course provides a good overall insight into various areas of marketing. In the MARKOM course, I had already learned about all the different areas of marketing. But the marketing specialist course goes into more detail in all areas. You gain in-depth knowledge of communication and integrated communication as well as presentation techniques.
The reason behind my choice of the Feusi Training Center was more of a practical one. I wanted to complete the marketing specialist course in Solothurn first, as I was working in radio there. However, various events for the radio took place at the weekend. At the Bern location, Feusi offered the marketing specialist course on Tuesdays. The course lasted all afternoon and into the evening. This fitted in perfectly with my work commitments, as only a few Saturdays had to be spent on further training. In addition, I had heard nothing but good things about the Feusi Training Center from friends and it made a good impression on me.
The specialist knowledge I acquired during my marketing specialist training helped me in particular with my conceptual work. I learned more about the procedure for concepts, what the exact structure is and what needs to be taken into account. This was particularly helpful for my new sponsorship concept at Quickline. I previously lacked the necessary know-how.
I particularly liked the people teaching the marketing specialist course. For me, good teachers are half the battle when it comes to training. The lecturers really conveyed the knowledge in a good and very practical way. Group work provided a nice change of pace, especially on the long teaching days. We were able to discuss a project in small groups and then present our solution to the class. I was able to gain a lot of experience in the process. I would also like to praise our class teacher, who performed his role very well.
Yes, I already have the feeling that this is the case. For one thing, it legitimized me for my new job function in marketing. It's also a kind of basic requirement for a job change in marketing.
Yes, this was my new sponsorship strategy/concept that I had recently created for Quickline. This included the title sponsorship in men's handball in the National League A. The agreement with the top Swiss men's handball league was agreed for three seasons and includes extensive presentation rights.
I would recommend the Marketing Specialist course to people who are looking for a good introduction to marketing. It is a basic training course in the field of marketing. During this training, you can find out which subject area is particularly interesting for you personally and how you want to continue later. For me, the marketing specialist training is almost a kind of "KV of marketing".
There were indeed aha moments. After all, once you have looked behind the facade of marketing activities with the marketing specialist training, you realize its classic areas of application in everyday life. You look at them with different eyes and question them. Why is a poster hanging here and not there? Has the message of the advertisement been hit and is the advertising content correct? In the supermarket, we are actually sprinkled with music and seduced by scents - does this really make me buy more? I think about this more often now...
Despite the high intensity of the marketing specialist training, the atmosphere was always very good. We were a group of three who commuted from Solothurn to Bern for lessons. The group had a good mix of people from various industries, such as the trade fair sector and radio. This always led to interesting conversations and a good exchange of ideas.
I liked the exam simulation at Feusi. It helped me a lot to better assess my own skills. It took place in good time before the final exam to become a marketing specialist with a federal certificate and was a good yardstick for me.
The Marketing Specialist course has brought me a lot personally. I can now discuss with other marketing professionals on an equal footing, as I have a better understanding of the terminology and subject areas. This also gives me more understanding and confidence in my job.
