The Master's degree program in Micro Electronics is structured differently depending on the Universities and focuses on different areas. At the FHNW, for example, it consists of the CAS Microelectronics Digital, CAS Microelectronics Analog and CAS Microelectronics Systems with the modules FPGA Design, FPGA Verification, System on chip, CMOS Design, CMOS Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Embedded System Software, Embedded System Hardware, three accompanying projects and the Master's thesis.

The HSR Master's program consists of the CAS Microelectronics Digital, CAS Embedded Systems, CAS Sensor Technology and Analog Microelectronics with the modules FPGA Design & Verification, System on Chip, Sensors, Sensor Signal Conditioning, Analog Microelectronics, Digital Signal Processing, Embedded System Hardware, Embedded System Software, three project theses and the Master's thesis.

It is possible to start studying Micro Electronics twice a year, in February and September.

The Master's degree program in Micro Electronics consists of several certificate courses that can be attended independently of each other. The sequence of the individual CAS courses can therefore be freely selected.

Each of the three certificate courses of the Master Micro Electronics can also be attended individually and independently of the MAS.

The individual CASs of the Micro Electronics Master's program are predefined, as are the corresponding modules. As a prospective student, you are therefore not free to choose the content and focus of the MAS, neither at the HSR nor at the FHNW.
