An education survey reveals the reasons for inquiries to schools requesting detailed information about the Medical Basics course. According to this survey by Ausbildung-Weiterbildung.ch, the trigger for such school inquiries is more often an online assessment (56%) than a recommendation (29%). In addition, 15% of prospective students were already familiar with the school(s) in question. The latter is one of the most important triggers for many other courses. However, those who are interested in a medical basics course are usually planning a career change into a new field. As an optional additional reason, one of the respondents mentioned the "location of the school" as a trigger. Other free text responses included: "they are on the list", "googled on the internet", "recommendation", "name known", "teaching days and price", "comparison between various schools", "training is in my canton", "internet search", "well located in terms of transport", "I found the address online and feel addressed", "heard about the school when I worked nearby.", "Monday as a training day", "Recognition of all EMR certificates", "Because the courses are not at the weekend", "The telephone inquiry was very pleasant" and "No specific reason".

A survey conducted by the education platform Ausbildung-Weiterbildung.ch provides a clear answer to this question. According to the prospective students surveyed, 75% are interested in the "Medical basics" course in order to match the course content with the goals they have set themselves. However, 9% of survey participants are interested because these skills are desired or required in job advertisements. 16 %, on the other hand, are interested in further training in medical basics based on a recommendation and are looking for a suitable course.
