The training program to become a medical technology consultant is an e-learning program that also works on mobile devices and can also be taken offline once the learning content has been saved. There is no face-to-face training for this course.

During the Federal Diploma of Higher Education in Medical Technology Consultant examination, basic knowledge of anatomy, pathophysiology, therapy, physiology, diagnostics, evidence-based medicine and clinical studies is tested, as well as medical terminology and behavior in specialist departments. In addition, basic knowledge of the Swiss healthcare system, the services and remuneration of medical products, the basics of ethics, law and compliance (business, legal, ethical), as well as the ability to recognize the needs of medical professionals and to provide them with correct information and advice on the services and products represented.

The continuing education, further training as a medical technology consultant is aimed at both sales representatives and office staff, such as medical sales representatives, product representatives, key account managers, sales managers, product managers, assistants and others. This training is also ideal for people who are new to the medical technology sector or want to change careers.
