It is extremely important that they always maintain an overview in order to coordinate the various production steps. Foresight and the consideration of all relevant factors are therefore of immense importance in the production management of a carpentry business. Another important area of responsibility within production management is compliance with the specified quality standards and ensuring health and safety in the workplace. They are also responsible for the technical management of trainees and in most cases act as deputy managers.

The carpentry production manager course lasts 3 semesters and is completed on a part-time basis. Core topics include leadership and management skills, situation analysis and problem solving, costing, monitoring and calculating orders, order execution, production execution and much more. The only prerequisite for admission to further training is an association diploma as a production specialist.

It is necessary for candidates to have at least three years of professional experience in the carpentry industry after completing their apprenticeship before taking the FA Carpentry Production Manager examination.

This continuing education, further training to become a Production Manager Carpentry with Federal Diploma of Higher Education is suitable for carpenters and joiners specializing in construction and windows, carpentry, ski construction, furniture and interior design who want to take on production responsibility and manage employees.

You can expect the preparatory course for the Federal Diploma of Higher Education in Carpentry to take around three years of in-service training.

It is not possible to prepare individually for the Federal Diploma of Higher Education Carpentry Production Manager Examination. Unless they have a certificate of equivalence, prospective candidates must have all four required module qualifications, which are completed at a school during the course of continuing education, further training. Attending a preparatory course for the Federal Professional Examination is therefore mandatory.

A carpentry production manager with a federal certificate is responsible for implementing the plans and specifications of the project managers.
