My name is Astrid Schild and I have been working in adult education in the business sector at Interlaken bzi for over 15 years. I have been teaching for a total of 19 years. Initially at the Interlaken-Oberhasli Business School WSIO, which finally merged with the Interlaken Education Center BZI in 2005. At that time, the bzi had a commercial-industrial focus, which was gradually supplemented with adult business education, such as my favorite subject area of accounting clerk and later human resources clerk. The range of further economic training courses was expanded with the commercial school, the marketing & sales clerk, the tourism guest advisor and other courses. I live above Lake Brienz and it was important to me that there was a wide range of training courses on offer here in the mountains without having to travel long distances.
My passion for working in adult education, for example on the accounting clerk course, was quickly sparked after an inquiry as a commercial teacher lecturer, as I originally wanted to become a teacher. However, I also find that teaching myself keeps me "up to date", as I'm always keeping myself informed and dealing with new topics. I also experience a nice mix of all age groups in my classes - recently, a 19-year-old and a 63-year-old participant in the accounting clerk course were even bank neighbors.
I am a fiduciary with a federal certificate and have attended the fiduciary expert course. I have been working in the same company for 42 years now and therefore know the fiduciary business very well. I also do audits and am responsible for a municipality under public law. I am registered as an auditor with the Bern supervisory authority and am also subject to the Money Laundering Act. As an instructor with a federal certificate and didactics course module 1, I teach all commercial subjects except languages. I am currently completing Module 2 and am gaining new input, having interesting exchanges with other trainers and learning about new tools and digital media.
Since 2005, Interlaken bzi has also offered further education opportunities in the field of business for adults. In the area of accounting, the accounting assistant course is designed to provide people with a basic commercial education with the relevant accounting knowledge to enable them to take over and carry out bookkeeping in companies. This assistant training enables an easy entry, lateral entry or re-entry into finance and accounting. You will be taught all the necessary skills and knowledge during your training as an accounting clerk. Those who wish to develop their skills further in order to be able to complete their thesis can continue their training at a higher level in fiduciary, human resources or finance and accounting.
Interlaken bzi offers the following accounting course:
A further training course after the basic accounting course is the human resources clerk course, which also enables you to make salary payments. This can often be completed in a shortened form after training as an accounting clerk, as the social insurance module largely overlaps. We also offer supplementary further training in the areas of vocational training, personal development, languages, leadership and management.
The Accounting Clerk course is aimed at people who wish to expand and deepen their knowledge of accounting and have the following skills:
The basic accounting training course is suitable for newcomers, career changers from other commercial fields or those returning to work. The Accounting Clerk course requires a willingness to spend as much time studying at home as the classroom lessons at school.
With the edupool.ch Accounting Clerk diploma, you have an increasingly recognized qualification from the Swiss Commercial Association. You will be able to independently carry out operational tasks in the financial and management accounting departments of various companies with the confirmed sound specialist knowledge. Bear in mind that every company has to keep accounts. In many cases, as an accounting clerk you will be admitted to training as a finance and accounting specialist with a federal certificate or as a fiduciary with a federal certificate. However, this must be checked individually with the school. Once you have completed these advanced courses after the accounting clerk course, you can go on to become an expert in the respective fields.
The following learning content is taught as modules in the accounting clerk training course:
In many companies, a trustee takes care of the legal and tax aspects. However, the additional knowledge in the area of law and taxes can also be acquired in further training to become a fiduciary clerk. This will give you a solid basis for working in accounting and independently in financial accounting. The basic knowledge of social insurance and the confident handling of VAT regulations will flow into your work as an accounting clerk. Accounting clerks can provide support with annual financial statements and financial management.
The accounting clerk course lasts 16 months and comprises 250 lessons. The training costs at Interlaken bzi amount to CHF 5,300, plus CHF 675 for teaching materials. The examination fee for the edupool.ch diploma costs a further CHF 650. The accounting clerk training course includes module examinations and repetitions.
The Interlaken training location offers a short journey for those interested in training from Susten and Grimsel. Many of our accounting clerk course participants come from Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen, who would otherwise have to commute a long way to Lucerne or Zurich for their further training. We are therefore closer to our customers from the mountain regions. In most cases, a close-knit community develops there in accounting clerk classes.
The Bildungsinstitut Interlaken bzi relies on tried-and-tested instructors who continue to work in their profession. They also take plenty of time after the lesson to answer individual questions from the participants' everyday working lives. This and the small class sizes contribute significantly to our consistently high success rate, which is usually 100% for the Accounting Clerk course.
