Teachers in special education and small classes

A special education teacher supports children and young people with special needs. For example, they work in small classes for children who are difficult to educate or with children with learning difficulties and behavioral disorders. They also teach children and young people in special classes for the mentally and physically disabled. In special education, the aim is to emphasize and promote the strengths of individual children.

This strengthens the children and young people's self-confidence and gives them more courage to tackle their schoolwork. It is easier for the children and young people to achieve their learning goals. The most important goal in curative education is that every child can later shape their own life independently and live on their own responsibility.

As a special education teacher, you work with pupils in a playful way. For example, mathematical rules can be better understood through experiences and objects. Close contact with those affected, parents and therapists is also very important and helpful. If you have good empathy, a keen sense of observation and are patient, then training in curative education is certainly a good decision. You can obtain more information directly from the schools at Ausbildung-Weiterbildung.ch.
