Questions and answers

You need to allow around two to three months for the gastronomy service course, with a weekly learning effort of around four to eight hours.

Although the service course in gastronomy is a distance learning course without face-to-face teaching, you will be in regular contact with a course tutor, to whom you will send your exercises and learning objective tests and who will give you feedback on your learning progress. She will also be on hand to help you with any questions or problems you may have during the course and will provide you with expert advice by phone or email at any time.

The Gastronomy service course is a distance learning course that allows you to learn exactly when and where you want, without having to attend a classroom course. You will receive the individual course lessons at regular intervals and work on them at your own pace from home. You send in homework.

Experience in the catering industry is not necessary for the service course. In addition to service employees without any job-specific training, career changers can also take part in the service course in gastronomy, regardless of their previous professional or educational background.

The service course in gastronomy consists of five modules covering service preparation, guest care, food science, company-specific service, hygiene and legal regulations. For each module, you will receive repetition tasks and application exercises, which you carry out independently and send in to the school.
