Language travel Malta - Enjoy the combination of learning English and vacations
Questions and answers
What costs should I expect for a language study trip to Malta?
The cost of language travel to Malta depends very much on the school, the language course and the accommodation you choose. Intensive courses are more expensive than standard courses and accommodation in a hotel is more expensive than in a student residence. It is therefore not possible to give exact prices here. You should always ask the relevant language travel provider for these and be sure to check what other costs are involved. Bear in mind that you will need a flight to get to the island and that prices can vary depending on the departure airport. Many language schools also charge the following additional costs:
- Travel cancellation insurance (optional)
- Foreign health insurance (more than recommended)
- Agency or processing fees
- Reservation fees or agency fees for accommodation
- Course material
- Exam fees, for example for the Cambridge certificates
- Seasonal surcharges
- Transfer from and to the airport
- Costs for organized excursions and leisure activities
- Personal pocket money
- Catering (with self-catering option)
Some language schools will provide you with a comprehensive list of possible costs so that you have a good overview of the upcoming costs for your language study trip to Malta. Special offers are often available, especially in the low season, which already include many services. Ask for these directly from the individual English schools so that you can compare the offers.

Are there different language courses to choose from during a language study trip in Malta?
How long does a language course in Malta last?
Language courses are often offered for as little as one week, which can be extended as required on a weekly basis. Language lessons usually start every Monday, so you can usually arrive on a Sunday. As lessons for language travel to Malta only take place during the week, your last language course always takes place on Fridays and you leave the language school on Saturdays. This means that if you stay for a week, you will only have five days of language lessons and no weekend to get to know the island better. A one-week stay is therefore only suitable if you want to study intensively but do not attach great importance to leisure activities. A stay of at least two weeks is therefore recommended, although there are no upper limits. You can attend a language course for as long as you like or opt for a year of study abroad, which will prepare you perfectly for your training, studies or even your career.

What accommodation is available for language travel to Malta?
Another alternative is to live in a shared flat or student residence. In shared apartments, you share an apartment with other language students of different nationalities and are accommodated in a single or double room. In most cases, care is taken to ensure that double rooms are not occupied by people of the same nationality, so that you can only communicate in English. You share the living quarters and are self-catering, which is therefore not necessarily suitable for young people. Hotels can also be booked for a language study trip to Malta, but they have the disadvantage that you will have less contact with other people outside of the English course and will therefore improve your language skills less than is possible.
Are language trips to Malta also offered for students?
