Spinal massage: correct and professional application with sound and practice-oriented training

Spinal massage is characterized by its gentleness and is based on the theory that intervertebral discs are not "used up" but are partially "degenerated". The aim of this therapy is to achieve disc regeneration. More and more patients are explicitly asking for a spinal massage. This is why more and more therapists and massage specialists have undergone further training in this area.

Questions and answers

The topics of continuing education, further training in spinal massage vary greatly depending on the focus. For example, the individual methods are taught, such as Dorn therapy, Breuss massage or basic spinal balancing. You will not only learn the grip techniques, but also the indications, contraindications, theory and assessment of findings.

From one course day to 150 hours and more, for example with asca-recognized methods.

Depending on the school, the requirements for a course in spinal massage can vary. Some require a previous qualification in classical massage and knowledge of anatomy, while others allow people with no experience in medicine, therapy or wellness to join their courses.

The Breuss massage is a spinal massage that also releases deep-seated blockages and emotional tension. It is a gentle technique that is often supported with St. John's wort oil and has an energetic effect, especially in the case of intervertebral disc problems. Massage therapists often perform the Breuss method in combination with the Dorn method.
