The origin of this exhaustion can be found in both professional and private life and is usually triggered by constant frustration, excessive self-expectations in terms of performance, feelings of failure or constant overload. The syndrome occurs in very different forms and intensities. Symptoms include sleep disorders, stomach problems, headaches, migraines, depression, fatigue, exhaustion or other physical dysfunctions. In most cases, those affected also suffer from a feeling of powerlessness, guilt or failure. People from all social, professional and academic backgrounds and from all age groups suffer from burnout. Those affected often withdraw and are reluctant to accept help.

In a burnout coach course, participants learn how to recognize such signs and offer professional burnout advice to those affected.
