What are the main disadvantages of feng shui training?
After a thorough feng shui training course, you will know the laws of energy flow and how to apply them in your home or office. You will be able to design rooms harmoniously. You will be familiar with various methods in theory and practice.
The main disadvantages of feng shui training are:
- The completion of the Feng Shui training is not federally recognized, it is a certificate or a course confirmation. In any case, look out for training courses with a seal of approval that entitle you to join the FSV (Swiss Feng Shui Association) as a recognized feng shui consultant.
- At certificate level, the course content and admission requirements are generally not regulated and can be determined autonomously by the schools. Quality assurance can be provided by the FSV Switzerland, which certifies training institutes that offer a complete Feng Shui training up to the level of a consultant's certificate. The institutes have different orientations, i.e. the classical Chinese school is more or less adapted to European conditions.
- In addition to specialist knowledge and consulting skills, working as a feng shui consultant also requires strong social skills and a love of working with people. Not everyone has all of these skills and not all of them can be acquired through feng shui training.
- The training costs of CHF 1,000 to CHF 9,000 for more extensive training courses are not covered by the federal government. The extra-occupational form often results in a double burden, but hardly any loss of salary.
- You can only work full-time if you can combine this with other activities or if you have gained enough experience and achieved a certain level of recognition to generate enough customers and income.
Feng shui consultants support people who want to design or build their living space according to the principles of feng shui. The aim is to show ways of creating a balanced environment that promotes health and well-being. Feng shui consultants usually work on a freelance basis. Many integrate their consultancy work into an existing profession, e.g. interior designer or building biologist.
