As a customer service advisor in the automotive industry (AKB), you are the link between the company and your customers. You advise your workshop customers competently on all questions relating to service work and repairs to their vehicles and are responsible for both administrative and technical matters. Automotive customer service advisors arrange appointments for repairs or servicing, make diagnoses and plan orders.

Graduates of the continuing education, higher education, further training in the automotive industry obtain the qualification "Automotive Sales Consultant with Federal Diploma of Higher Education".

A total of eight modules must be passed before the Federal Professional Examination for Customer Service Advisors in the Automotive Trade. These are

  • Sales methodology and sales communication
  • Administration and IT
  • Accounting
  • Work and company organization
  • Marketing and trade
  • Law and insurance
  • Sales-related product knowledge

For customer service advisors in the automotive industry, there is a continuing education, further training program that prepares them for the Federal Diploma of Higher Education (FPE) for the Federal Diploma of Higher Education as an automotive sales advisor.

Persons with a Federal VET Diploma or comparable qualification and at least two years of professional experience in Swiss automotive sales or persons without one of these qualifications with at least seven years of professional experience in Switzerland, four of which must be in automotive sales, are eligible for the FPE as a customer service advisor in the automotive trade. In addition, they must have completed all the required modules or have a certificate of equivalence.

The continuing education, customer service advisor in the automotive industry takes two semesters.
