Facility management managers are responsible for maintaining the value of technical equipment, infrastructure and buildings, and may also be involved in the planning of conversions or modernization, for which they prepare cost calculations, obtain quotations and monitor the implementation.
A qualified Head of Facility Management is also responsible for purchasing, assessing and coordinating external service providers and services. They assume leadership responsibility and are the contact person for strategic management. They also have a good knowledge of operational accounting, financial accounting, controlling, marketing, occupational health and safety and legal issues.
