Facility management managers are responsible for the management and maintenance of facilities, buildings and equipment. They also deal with the analysis and optimization of services and operating processes, effective materials management, purchasing and logistics. Facility management managers are responsible for maintaining the value of technical equipment, infrastructure and buildings, and may also be involved in the planning of conversions or modernization, for which they prepare cost calculations, obtain quotations and monitor the implementation.

A qualified Head of Facility Management is also responsible for purchasing, assessing and coordinating external service providers and services. To attend the Postgraduate Diploma in Logistics Management (HF dipl. Logistikleiter/in) course, interested parties are required to have a Federal Diploma of Higher Education (CHE), a College of Higher Education (HFP), a University of Applied Sciences (UAS) or a similar qualification. In addition, at least two years of professional experience in the commercial sector, preferably in logistics or a related field. Persons with comparable qualifications can be admitted "sur dossier" by the course management.

The continuing education, further training to become a certified logistics manager postgraduate studies CHE takes one year with a total of 360 lessons. In addition, there are 423 lessons of self-study with transfer assignments and 200 lessons for the diploma thesis.
