Microblading course: Success with professional eyebrow treatments

Microblading originally comes from Asia and is a form of cosmetic tattooing in the field of permanent make-up. In contrast to other methods of permanent make-up, where tattooing machines are used, this form does not require any equipment, but the cosmetician works with a special pen. The tip of this pen consists of small, fine blades. It is used to make fine incisions in the skin, to which color pigments are applied and worked into the skin. The microblading method is rarely used for lip contouring, but it is best known for the permanent tracing of eyebrows. The color pigments remain in the skin for between eight months and two years and can only be removed at an early stage with laser therapy.

For facial procedures, especially permanent make-up methods, it is very important that the beautician(s) work professionally, expertly and competently. Hygiene regulations and other guidelines must be followed to ensure that the result is clean and successful. In addition, people who carry out microblading professionally must have an eye for facial shapes and the type and shape of eyebrows. Microblading is mainly used for the cosmetic treatment of, or tracing of, eyebrows. Pigmentation is carried out using a special pen known as a "tebori". A typical feature of this pen is the first needle fan with a row of very fine and small blades. The beautician then uses this pen to carve hair-thin lines into the skin by hand with light pressure. The shape and density can be individually adapted to the personal hair structure. The hair-like incisions are then filled in with the previously defined color pigments.

How long microblading lasts depends on various individual factors, such as the condition of the skin, the metabolism or the care of the eyebrows after treatment. It is generally assumed that microblading lasts between eight and 24 months. After this period, the pigmentation needs to be refreshed, i.e. re-stippled.
