Chiropodist, nail technician: What is the difference between cosmetic foot care and medical foot care?
Cosmetic foot care involves care and decorative measures on the healthy foot by a nail technician. Medical foot care involves preventive, therapeutic and rehabilitative treatment on healthy feet that are at risk of damage. Only a medical chiropodist (podiatrist) with knowledge of medical foot care can take measures on an already damaged foot.
