Thomas v.Erlach is the founder and director of the smallest adult education institute in Switzerland - the Marketing & Management Institute MMI in Bern. Years ago, he began working as a lecturer on a part-time basis, having himself completed a degree in business administration (HF) and a federal diploma in sales and marketing management. He worked full-time for over 20 years in various leading positions in the private sector (sales manager, marketing manager, product manager, managing director of SMEs). However, Thomas v.Erlach never gave up his part-time lecturing activities. On the contrary - more and more teaching assignments eventually led to the founding of his company for training, coaching and management consulting.
In his role as owner, Thomas v.Erlach is also responsible for the HR Assistant (formerly HR Assistant) (HRSE certificate) and HR Specialist (federal certificate) courses.
Human resources management is one of the supporting processes of a company. The HR assistant makes an important contribution to all processes of operational human resources management. Here is an overview of HR processes from a teaching aid used at the MMI:
The processes listed above require a wide range of exciting and varied skills, all of which are developed in a relatively short time on the HR Assistant course. Here is a brief overview of topics from the official examination regulations:
HR assistants often carry out these and other activities in close cooperation with the line departments. In addition, a good knowledge of employment law (Code of Obligations, Employment Act, Data Protection Act, etc.) is required, which is also part of the examination.
Good HR know-how must be present in every company. This is also the reason why well over a thousand men and women take the HR assistant examination with HRSE certification every year. Anyone with a federal certificate of proficiency or a high school diploma and 2 years of professional experience (general and not necessarily in HR!) is admitted to the exam. This certificate makes it much easier to start an administrative HR job.
The certificate is also one of the prerequisites for admission to the next higher examination for HR specialists with a federal certificate.
Attending the HR Assistant or Personnel Assistant training course at the Marketing & Management Institute MMI has the following advantages for participants:
We recommend a clarifying consultation to all those interested in the Human Resources Assistant course. This should show whether the HR Assistant course makes sense and whether the MMI is the "right" institute. After all, it is about your own professional development. And it makes sense to clarify this well in advance.
