My name is Delia Schlumpf. I am 26 years old and live in Wil. I originally trained as a medical assistant (MPA). However, I later decided to switch to human resources. That's why I became aware of the HR assistant apprenticeship.
I attended the Human Resources Assistant course at the BZWU continuing education school.
It is very difficult to gain a foothold in HR without basic commercial training. That's why I decided to do the HR assistant course so that I could switch to recruitment. This also gave me the opportunity to develop in the recruitment sector.
I chose the BZWU for my HR assistant training because I live two blocks away in Wil and grew up in the city. I was very familiar with the school. It made sense for me to choose a location that would save me a long journey home. The location of the BZWU is simply ideal for me.
As I have completed further training to become a personnel assistant or HR assistant, my current boss has given me the opportunity to gain a foothold in HR. With this further training, you can get into HR even without a basic commercial education. After that, there are numerous further training opportunities for targeted further development in the field of human resources.
I particularly liked the lecturers on the HR assistant course. They themselves work in HR functions in the business world (mostly in management) and were therefore able to convey the course content in a practical way.
Some of the HR assistant training courses went very deeply into the subject of human resources. There was a lot of material to learn. It was sometimes difficult for me to acquire all the detailed knowledge alongside my work. In my current job, however, I am happy with the knowledge I have acquired and can use it regularly.
I was definitely able to increase my market value with the HR administrator training. I now have a basic medical qualification and further training in human resources as a personnel assistant. This combination of skills gives me many more opportunities in the world of work.
I learned a lot, especially in the area of social insurance. Not only for the world of work, but also for myself. I can also put this to good use in my private life - whether through knowledge about insurance or employment law.
I would recommend training to become a HR assistant to anyone who wants to work anywhere in the HR sector. It's a very broad range of knowledge that you learn in further training. You can apply this in many companies. There is an HR department in all companies, which leads to interesting job opportunities and possibilities.
We had a really great class on the HR assistant course, which was made up of different age groups. The people came from different regions. I was able to make great new contacts, which will also help me a lot in my future career.
In the event of problems, absences or various inquiries, the school secretariat at BZWU always provides excellent service. I was very happy about this several times during my course as a personnel assistant and made use of it. For example, regarding a tax deduction on a training invoice. The canteen was also great for catering.
The further training as a HR assistant has also helped me personally. I think it's important to have a tougher life for a while and not everything is so easy. An evening course like this also helps you personally. You have to struggle a bit and it's a bit tougher... but once you've done it, you can be really proud of yourself.
