Process technicians CHE are able to develop and optimize operational processes in supply chain management as well as in project and quality management. In doing so, they take into account various aspects in which they have in-depth knowledge, for example: work systems, time management, costs, procurement, work planning and organization, quality, marketing, standards, law or the environmental impact of business activities.

Process technician CHE - the main disadvantages are:

  1. Due to the study duration of three years (part-time) or two years (full-time), the Process Technician CHE course requires a great deal of time commitment and a high degree of self-discipline and motivation.
  2. Despite cantonal contributions, the entire CHE program is expected to cost between CHF 13,000 and CHF 22,800, depending on the school.
  3. The CHE Process Technician qualification is not well known outside Switzerland and not all foreign managers working in Switzerland are aware of the CHE qualification and its importance. Especially in times when efficiency in companies is important, you can gain a competitive advantage for your company by working in process technology.
  4. A job in process technology requires analytical skills, a systematic way of working and technical understanding. It requires good business management skills, a high degree of responsibility and the ability to lead employees and work in a team. Many of these skills cannot be acquired through studies alone.
  5. The working hours are usually regular. The professionals work closely with engineers and specialists from production and sales. It is important to be aware of current trends and to use them profitably for the company. Regular continuing education, further training is necessary.

 

Process technicians CHE work as generalists in industrial, logistics, service or commercial companies. Depending on the type and size of the company, they manage projects from development to sales or are responsible for specific areas within the company. With the appropriate experience, they can take on responsible positions in company management, marketing, customer service or finance and accounting. They sometimes also take on management tasks and lead a team, a department or an entire company.
