Health insurance is compulsory in Switzerland and the numerous insurance companies on the market are an important part of our economy. Health insurance companies are therefore also an important employer. If you are looking for a job in this field or if you already work in a health insurance company but still have some gaps in your knowledge, you should take a closer look at the continuing education, further training for health insurance clerks. In this training course, participants learn all the relevant basics about health insurance companies and health insurance in Switzerland, gain a great deal of confidence in the field and can therefore respond competently to all questions.

The focus of this continuing education, further training is on social security in our country, the basics of insurance in the health sector, financing and the various insurance models, the benefits of compulsory insurance and supplementary insurance and cooperation with other social insurance schemes. These topics are also relevant in the certificate examination at the end of the continuing education, further training as a health insurance clerk.

The course concludes with a certificate, which is not federally recognized, but is highly regarded by employers in the health insurance industry. The continuing education, further training takes several months and participants must expect to spend a total of 100 - 120 hours learning.

Ideally, participants in the health insurance clerk course have already been working for around two years. After successfully completing the course, health insurance clerks are usually employed by health or accident insurance companies, work in public administration or in non-profit organizations.
