Horgen is located on the left bank of Lake Zurich at 408 meters above sea level and belongs to the district of Horgen in the canton of Zurich. The town is located north of Wädenswil, south of Thalwil and about 15 km from Zurich. Thanks to its central location, Horgen is easy to reach by private and public transport.
The Horgen training site covers a good 31 km2of which approximately one third is woodland. The town has around 23,000 inhabitants and is divided into ten districts: Dorf, Arn, Hirzel, Horgerberg, Käpfnach, Oberdorf, Sihlbrugg Station, Sihlwald, Tannenbach and Waldegg.

However, public parking facilities in Horgen are limited.
