Rapperswil-Jona is a municipality in the canton of St. Gallen and is located at the southern end of Lake Zurich. The municipality lies at 409 meters above sea level and is also a connecting point between the cantons of Schwyz, Zurich and St. Gallen. The famous Seedamm, an artificial dam at the narrowest point of Lake Zurich, connects the municipality with Pfäffikon SZ and at the same time separates Lake Zurich from Obersee.
