How does training to become a team leader work and what does it cost?

The certificate courses in team leadership can be completed on a part-time basis.

• The basic and advanced courses last 3 months and include 80 course hours. You can choose between a full course day every third week or two course evenings per week. The courses cost around CHF 3,000.
• The Swissmem modules consist of course blocks of 3, 5 or 6 days and cost between CHF 2,200 and 3,500.

Some schools offer a voluntary final examination for team leaders; at others, a transfer task must be completed in order to obtain the certificate.
