Technical radiology: Find the training or further education that suits you.

Technical radiology offers interesting fields of activity for people who are interested in the technical aspects of medicine in addition to caring for patients and who have a solid basic knowledge of physics, mathematics, chemistry, computer science and biology.

Technical radiology, which is actually considered medical technical radiology, is concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of patients whose clinical picture and progression is recorded on the basis of an image of their body or parts of it, for example using an X-ray machine. In short, this means that the aim of technical radiology is to recognize and treat the consequences of accidents and illnesses.

The place of work for specialists with training in medical technical radiology is mainly a hospital, but sometimes also an institute or a specialist practice. Other areas of activity can be found in research or a teaching institution. The training and further education opportunities in the technical radiology department are also diverse. In addition to the profession of medical-technical radiology assistant, or MTRA for short, there is also the possibility of entering technical radiology as a specialist or continuing your education and specialization in other ways.
