Calculation in detail

Continuing education, further training FPE trustee:

  • 36 months part-time
  • School fees, documents: CHF 19,500 minus CHF 10,000 federal contribution = CHF 9,500
  • Exam fee: CHF 1'800
  • Total training costs: CHF 11,300

Wage difference and yield calculation:

  • Difference in salary between the position as a Federal VET Diploma Commercial Clerk and the position as a Fiduciary with Federal Diploma of Higher Education: CHF 6,314 - CHF 4,990 = CHF 1,324 per month and CHF 17,212 per year (13 x CHF 1,324 = CHF 17,212)
  • He recoups the total training costs of CHF 11,300 in just under 9 months with his higher salary as a trustee (CHF 11,300 / CHF 1,324 per month = 8.5 months)
  • Over the remaining 39 years until his retirement (26 to 65), this additional income will add up to CHF 671,268 (39 x CHF 17,212 = CHF 671,268)
  • If the training costs are deducted from this additional income, an additional sum of around CHF 660,000 remains at his disposal(CHF 671'268 - CHF 11'300= CHF 659'968)
